One of the area’s most popular wedding and upscale-event venues, the Shackelford House also known as the “Pink House,” was designed by famed architect Edward Vason Jones. Jones, an Albany native is best known for renovating 25 White House rooms and seven U.S. Department of State rooms from 1965 to 1980. It was built in the style of Monticello, with hand-carved solid mahogany doors and beautiful architecture. The property is now owned by the local Stewbos Restaurant Group who bring their catering, food and full bar service & lodging experience to the Shackelford House. Stewbos also owns & operates several local restaurants, including Harvest Moon, The Catch & Stewbos Catering.
